Library

Our library is the heart of our school, students of all ages come in to read, study, take AR quizzes, or find a new and exciting book.  Each month we explore a new theme.

Our students are wonderful readers, we struggle to keep up with their voracious appetite for new books to read!  We greatly appreciate donations of new or gently used books from our wish list: Library Wish List.  Donations of Amazon gift cards are always welcome, Amazon gift cards are available in the scrip office.

Our library contains titles that are suitable for more mature teen readers. These books are identified with a young adult sticker. These books are only available to students in grade 6 or above; parental permission is required to check them out.   Please review the permission slip and return it to the school.  SPS Young Adult Book Permission Form 2011-2012

Computer Lab

Our computer lab has 26 workstations. 1st grade through 8th grade students attend weekly computer classes where they learn basic computer skills, keyboarding, word processing, presentation programs, internet research techniques, and internet safety.   We offer electives in photo editing, design software, advanced PowerPoint and more. New for the 2011-2012 school year is the introduction of Google Apps Education and cloud computing.  The computer lab is available to students during school hours.  Students with personal laptops may use them in the school library or computer lab.
