At St. Paul’s we provide a robust field trip program to enrich and reinforce curriculum for our kindergarten through eighth grade students. From kindergarteners visiting a local grocery store to sixth graders visiting the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum, our aim is to take the ideas discussed in the classroom and transform them into real world experiences.

Our middle school takes students on week-long excursions to Catalina Island, the Marin Headlands, and the central valley foothills.  The purpose of these trips is to bring theoretical ideas discussed in the classroom into the practical world. We often see students that struggle with topics in the classroom come alive when we bring them to locations and make the topics real.  Participating in longer field trips also fosters a sense of community within a class. Giving students task oriented field activities to complete in groups improves communication skills, helps the students build self-confidence, and reinforces teamwork skills.
